Kybella
Kybella is an FDA approved injection for treating pocket fat such as under the chin. This "Fat-Melting" injection permanently destroys the fat and results can be seen as soon as 4 weeks post procedure! Pocket fat such as under the chin or in the underarm area often remain even though proper exercise and diet do to genetics. The Details
Kybella is also known as Deoxycholic Acid and naturally occurs in the body to aid in digestion and destruction of fat cells. The appointment usually lasts around 15-30 minutes and numbing is available upon request. Depending on the amount of fat, 1-4 treatments may be necessary. These treatments will be spaced 1-2 months apart. Normal side effects include slight inflammation and swelling, pain at the injection site, hardness, and bruising which normally last less than a week. Liposuction may be considered if you are deemed a good candidate. During your consultation, Dr. Atkins will go over the differences between Kybella versus liposuction.
