Lip Filler

Ready to achieve the perfect pout? Our lip filler patients love their results! This is a non-surgical minimally invasive treatment with results lasting up to a year and a half. Dr. Debra Atkins is well known in the area for properly treating the lips in a subtle natural way. This is done by either synthetic or biological injections. Biological injections include stem cell, plasma, or fat injections.  Synthetic injections are normally concentrated hylauronic acid and are designed to look and feel like your natural lips. Juvederm, Belotero, and Restylane have invented a product that mimics your bodies natural chemistry and feel. These products are FDA approved and have gone through rigorous testing to ensure there quality and safety. The "G factor" or viscosity of the product normally is associated with the duration of the filler. These specially crafted lip fillers can last from 6 months to a year and a half depending on the product chosen.

As we age, lips loose their volume due to diminishing fat pads and a lack of natural hyaluronic acid production. Those who experience thin lips due to genetics will find success with these treatments as well. Fine lines and wrinkles from smoking or straw-drinking are also easily treated with a quick injection.

  • Juvederm Volbella: Amazing product designed to contour the mouth and provide a soft lip texture.

  • Juvederm Ultra: A longer lasting filler that corrects structure in the lip such as lip lines and corners of the mouth.

  • Restylane Kysse: Hyaluronic Acid crosslinked with BDDE to provide a soft, supple lip with the duration of a dense filler

  • Restylane Silk: Contours the mouth and creates a soft lift in the pout of the lip

  • Belotero Balance: Vi-cross technology corrects lip line and boosts overall volume

The Procedure

After an in-depth consultation with Dr. Debra Atkins, a type of filler is based on your preferences. A fine needle is inserted and the filler is placed in a thread like formation. While there is lidocaine in some filler products, topical numbing is available for those sensitive to pain. It is very important to choose an injector who has proper training in lip filler to prevent safety and encourage evenness. The lips may appear swollen for the next couple of days before settling into a natural position. Injectable fillers, in general, last longer with increased hydration. Try IV therapy at your next appointment for longer-lasting filler with the bonus of glowing skin.

During your next Botox appointment, feel free to discuss your interest of lip filler with Dr. Atkins. New patients may schedule a consultation appointment and receive the treatment on the same day. If you currently have overdone or unnatural lips, Dr. Debra Atkins has vast knowledge of correction through dissolving the filler or smoothing lumps with laser.
